For their contributions, dedication, and leadership in cultivating, promoting, and preserving Hoosier German-American heritage in Jasper and its surrounding area and in celebration of its upcoming 45th anniversary. Established in January 1980, the Jasper Deutscher Verein continues to be committed to the Jasper-Pfaffenweiler Sister Cities program; to mentoring and supporting of local German high school programs and the German student exchange program; and to promoting and partnering with the highly successful annual Jasper Strassenfest.
